It's not very often that you read a story that makes you totally rethink the entire world around you. Isaac Asimov's The Last Question is one of those rare stories. I just found it, and I truly believe it's the best short story I've ever read. Asimov himself has said it's his favorite work of his own. And even if you aren't a huge fan of science fiction, and you only read one science fiction story in your life, this needs to be it.
